We are pleased to announce that Cyprus U19 NT midfielder, Leontios Zacharia, will be joining Queens University of Charlotte in Fall 2024. Queens competes in the ASUN Conference in NCAA Division 1 and qualified for their conference tournament last season.
Zacharia, who represented Cyprus at youth level, made his top division debut with AEL Limassol aged 16 and has gone on to appear in nine matches with AEL's first team.
Queens is a private school with a city campus, located 5km from downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2023 the university was ranked 9th in the South Regional Rankings by U.S. News & World Report. Charlotte is regularly ranked as one of the best cities in the USA for millennials. Most notably it has the third-highest concentration of financial services talent among the top 50 metros, with several major corporations such as Bank of America having their global headquarters in Charlotte.
