We are pleased to announce that Cypriot centerback, Daniel Christofi, will be joining the University of Rio Grande in Fall 2024.
Christofi came through the ranks at Nea Salamina's academy. He spent the 2022-23 and 2023-24 season with ASIL Lysis' men's team in the Cyprus 2nd Division.
Located in Rio Grande, Ohio, the university boasts one of the top soccer programs in the nation. Led by headcoach Scott Morrissey since 1989, the program has made 23 consecutive NAIA National Tournament appearances. Since 2000, Rio has made 7 national semi-final appearances, four national title game appearances and has won two national championships. During that time Rio has also won 20 conference titles and seven NAIA region championships.
