Congratulations to Giorgos Leon Diakos for being named All-American 2nd Team following an exceptional season with UC Charleston! The award which recognizes the best XI in college soccer is determined by the United Soccer Coaches organization, the largest soccer coaches organization in the world.
Diakos was one of the highest scoring midfielders in Division II, with 10 goals in 14 starts, including a hat-trick in the first round of the national championship. Overall Giorgos finished the season with 10 goals and 5 assists.
Diakos becomes the third JSA athlete to receive All-American honours whilst at UC Charleston, following Ploutarchos Alonefti in 2021 and Christos Charalambous in 2019.
