We are pleased to announce that Cyprus U19 NT defensive midfielder, Petros Fokas, will be joining the University of Delaware in Fall 2022. Fokas who represented the Cyprus National Team from U15 to U19 level, spend this season with Olympias Lympion in the Cyprus Second Division.
The University of Delaware is ranked in the top 40 Public Universities in the US and is most noted for its chemical engineering program which is ranked in the top 10 in the US. Its most prominent alumni include include the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden and long-standing Electronic Arts chairman, Larry Probst.

In the last four years the University of Delaware has looked to revitalize its athletics department with heavy investment in new facilities and coaching changes across sports. Fokas will be joining a team led by new head coach, Tommy McMenemy. The Ivy League educated, Englishman, was previously the associate head coach at the University of Michigan where he recruited seven top-20 ranked recruiting classes within nine years. Boasting one of the best athletic centers in college sports, the University of Delaware is now in a position to recruit elite athletes such as Petros and their men’s soccer team will be looking to compete at the national level in the coming years.
