George Tasouris has been named WCC Goalkeeper of the Year following another stellar season for the Portland Pilots. Tasouris was named goalkeeper of the year after leading the best defence in the West Coast Conference. He completed the regular season with 7 clean sheets. This is the second time that Tasouris has earned All-WCC recognition in as many years, having been named All-Conference last year.
Tasouris has also had success off the pitch, being named to the Academic All-District team. The Academic All-District teams recognize athletes who have excelled both on the field and in the classroom. George currently holds a 3.54 GPA while pursuing a master's degree in higher education and student affairs.
Fellow JSA athlete and Portland Pilot, Gurman Sangha, has also received recognition for his performances this season. The Canadian winger was earned an honorable mention in the conference awards. In his final season with the Pilots, Sangha scored five goals and added six assists in the regular season. He finished the season tied for second in the WCC in points with 16.
