We are excited to announce that former Cyprus National Team defender, George Pitsillides has earned a scholarship to study and compete at Durham University in the UK.
A starter for the Cyprus National Team from U15 to U19 level, Pitsillides competed for three seasons in NCAA Division 1, graduating from UAlbany in December 2023. He will be joining Durham University, where he will compete for the university's soccer team, for his graduate studies.
Durham University is recognized as one of the top academic institutions in the UK, ranking 7th in The Guardian University Guide for 2024. The Master’s in Finance program, which Pitsillides will be undertaking, is also highly acclaimed, ranked in the top 10 in the UK and among the top 60 globally.
