Tasouris and Pitsillides featured on TDS watchlists

George Tasouris of the University of Portland and George Pitsillides of the University of West Virginia feature on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s (TDS) watchlists of top players to watch in the upcoming season! TDS is the premium American soccer website dedicated to covering collegiate soccer.


Pitsillides, a 2002 born right back from APOEL Nicosia’s youth academy is featured as one of the top 10 incoming international freshmen. As the article notes more than 100 international freshmen will be joining D1 men’s soccer programs in the fall but Pitsillides features in a list alongside players from the academies of Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona as well as players who have represented England, Spain and South Africa at youth level.

Like their in-state counterparts Marshall, West Virginia have brought in a number of international players under Dan Stratford. Pitsillides is a Cyprus youth international that brings UEFA Youth League experience to WVU. Tasouris who is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in collegiate soccer, is featured as one of the top 10 transfers to watch in the upcoming season. After three stellar seasons with Grand Canyon University, the WAC Defensive Player of the Year, transferred to the University of Portland to pursue a graduate degree.
